On October 24th, 2013 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Hamilton Police were called to the parking lot of the Centre Mall for a street disturbance. It was reported that 3 men were assaulting the victim. The victim was beaten and stabbed repeatedly. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival. Two male suspects were observed getting into a white Acura sedan with the other male suspect observed running southbound from the area. The 35-year-old Hamilton man was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The Hamilton Police believe that the suspects were known to the victim and that this was a targeted incident.
Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two male parties captured in a video at the scene of this incident. Police are still investigating what involvement these two males had in this incident.
The Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Jonathan Shane BEAVER to contact Det/Cst Jason Cattle at 905-546-4123 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Investigators are aware of several witnesses to this incident ask that if they haven't spoken to police already to please contact the Homicide Unit.
